Project Management
The role of a Project Manager is to mitigate risks and protect the Client from unexpected contingencies at all stages during the design, documentation, and construction phases of a project to ensure time, cost and quality parameters are met.
OUR PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES CONSIST OF THREE MAIN PHASES
DESIGN MANAGEMENT
We take a unique approach to the front-end phase of project management. As project managers we are process driven, but our approach allows for the space required for group innovation and creativity, way beyond traditional linear gated project management models.
In our view if the project team gets the brief right, then the rest of the project is much more likely to meet client needs and expectations. With rich design backgrounds we have a true innovation mindset. We understand that coming up with best fit solutions sometimes involves uncertainty and risk. We successfully work in that framework by managing the risk through a process of holistic stakeholder and project briefing management.
DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT
Once the reverse brief is approved, finalised and any ambiguities resolved, our stakeholder management methods revert to more traditional documentation management methodologies. This allows iterative team processes, reassessing at all critical points in time to meet mandatory time, cost, compliance and quality parameters.
During all stages, communication, reporting and authorisation procedures operate between us and our clients. Once the documentation packages are issued, we manage the tender process to optimise project outcomes within realistic market conditions.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
In the final part of our process, using previous phases as the platform for successful project delivery, we focus on the elements that clients care about most to reach the agreed time cost and quality targets. We set our protocols so that:
- Documentation packages are to client satisfaction
- Tender selection methodologies have yielded the most appropriate contractors
- We apply expert contract administration procedures including the issue of contractors’ claims, chairing site meetings and taking charge of the flow of information between all stakeholders.
- Project progress through defects inspections and rectification, and financial reconciliation is tailored to each client’s need
